Leisure Access Program (LAP)
Surrey's recreation subsidy. Children, youth and seniors get a free year-long pass to every City recreation facility; adults get three quarters off.
What it is
Children 0 to 12, youth 13 to 18 and seniors 60 and older receive a free 1-year pass to all City of Surrey recreation facilities. Adults 19 to 59 receive a 75% discount on single admission, monthly or 1-year passes. Youth 10 to 18 and seniors 60 and over also receive a free one-year Youth/Seniors Services Membership Pass. Drop-in activities include fitness classes, gymnasium spots, the weight room, aquatic activities and skating including skate and helmet rentals. Members receive a 75% discount on most registered courses: during the year of enrolment children and youth 0 to 18 receive up to $500 in program discounts plus $500 in Semiahmoo Arts Society program discounts, while adults 19 to 59 and seniors 60 and over receive up to $250 plus $250 in Semiahmoo Arts Society discounts. Applicable day camps for children and youth get a 75% discount with no discount limit. A few specialty programs are not included.
Who it is for
Enrolment is valid for one year. If you apply with income tax documents, the family net income maximum (line 23600 of your Notice of Assessment) is $25,588 for a family of 1, $31,140 for 2, $38,777 for 3, $48,377 for 4, $55,089 for 5, $61,095 for 6, $67,099 for 7, and $6,006 more for each additional person.
