Richmond's recreation subsidy for residents in financial hardship — free drop-ins with no cap, and nine tenths off most registered programs.
What it is
Participants get unlimited free admission to many drop-in programs and services, a 90 per cent discount on most registered parks, recreation and cultural programs offered by the City of Richmond and by Community Associations and Societies, and select opportunities at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Who it is for
The 90% discount on registered programs is capped at $300 per year in subsidy for children and youth 18 and under, and $100 per year for adults and seniors 19 and over. Free drop-in admission is not capped.
