WorkBC Employment Services
BC's free public employment service. Help finding work, paid training, and practical supports that remove the barriers around a job, with services built specifically for people with disabilities.
What it is
WorkBC centres provide a wide range of free employment services: resume and cover letter help, interview preparation and job boards; high school diploma and other academic upgrading and sector-specific training; work experience placements and wage subsidies lasting from a few weeks to up to 12 months; equipment and devices to reduce work-related barriers; transportation supports to travel to attend job interviews, training or work; and dependent care supports to cover childcare.
Who it is for
For clients with disabilities, the job search service includes working with employers to carve or customize jobs to meet your needs. Assistive technology funding is covered separately in the related WorkBC Assistive Technology Services program already in this catalog.
