B.C. Access Grant for Deaf Students
Helps deaf and hard of hearing students with the extra cost of attending a specialized school that teaches in American Sign Language. It applies only to Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York — both in the United States.
What it is
This grant is only for eligible deaf or hard of hearing students attending Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. or the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York. StudentAid BC assesses it automatically when disability status is verified and the student attends one of those two schools.
Who it is for
There is no separate application. If StudentAid BC has verified your disability status and you are attending one of the two eligible schools, they assess your eligibility automatically.
